Why you’ll love it

  • Chocolate-led sweetness
  • Juicy pip & stone fruit
  • Washed clarity from smallholder farms
Story

This washed lot is composed of coffees from four Conebosque producers: Jorge Guzman (La Pila), Enrique Garcia (El Apazotal), Nery Campos (Los Pocitos), and the Ramirez family (Trojas Viejas). Together, their farms span elevations from 1,485 to 1,610 metres and cultivate Red and Yellow Catuaí alongside Typica.

Each producer brings a different strength to the cooperative — from Jorge’s farm renovation and diversified shade planting, to Enrique’s leadership in dry milling, Nery’s meticulous sorting, and the Ramirez family’s multi-generational stewardship. The result is a cohesive, reliable lot that reflects both individual care and collective effort.

Process

Fully washed process:

  • Selective hand-picking of ripe cherries
  • Pulping followed by controlled fermentation
  • Thorough washing for clarity
  • Sun-drying to stable moisture levels

This approach produces a clean, sweet cup with bright acidity and a smooth mouthfeel.

Sustainability & Packaging

Conebosque (Cooperativa Nueva Esperanza del Bosque) was founded in 2004 to support small and medium-sized coffee producers in Santa Rosa, Guatemala. The cooperative is made up of 35 producers, around 20 % of whom are women, each farming an average of 3–4 hectares. By operating their own wet and dry mills, Conebosque maintains strong traceability and quality control, helping farmers secure fairer prices and long-term stability.
