Why you’ll love it

  • Citrus & floral clarity
  • Smallholder community coffee
  • Classic Indonesian S795 varietal
Story

The Nola Wonga farmers group was formed in 2014 by Felix Soba to strengthen coffee farming in the Bajawa region of Flores. As some growers were moving towards faster-yield crops, Felix focused on helping farmers improve coffee quality and profitability while maintaining diverse farms that also grow horticultural crops.

Through training and support, the group has helped smallholder producers increase both quality and income while preserving Flores’ unique coffee-growing traditions. Today coffees from Nola Wonga reflect the careful work of farmers committed to producing clean and expressive specialty lots.

Process

Fully Washed

  • Hand-picked cherries harvested at peak ripeness
  • Pulping within 24 hours of harvest
  • Floatation sorting to remove defects
  • Fermentation in concrete tanks
  • Thorough washing
  • Slow patio drying for 7–10 days
  • Milling, size grading and optical sorting

This careful washed process produces a clean and balanced cup with layered citrus and floral notes.
